Eragon Book Three Predictions (Book 4 Predictions coming soon!)The book will be coming out September 23, 2008!
Today I thought that I would occasionally do book predictions, not only report on books. One of my favorite series is Eragon. The third book should be coming out in maybe a year. Here are some things I think will happen.
Since I now have over 1000 posts and read both books again, I have new ideas. My old list is below.
1. The Green Dragon Rider is Arya because in Deathwatch in Eragon, he sees a male and female boarding a ship with dragons in the sky.It also would make sense because there hasn't been a female rider mentioned, and there hasn't been a new elf rider for a while. A reason that many people say is that Arya also has green magic, and magic color is the same as dragon color. The color of magic means nothing until you have bonded with the dragon.
2.Oromis and Glaeder will die. They are old and Oromis said that he was lucky to live to train Eragon. They are both crippled as well.
3. Roran. He will save Katrina and get married. He will become ruler of Alagaesia because he has blood of the first human king. He is also a natural leader.
4.Eragon will probably bring someone back from the dead through the vault of souls. The other prediction of Solembum's may have already passed. Eragon got his elf-like strength from under the tree. Some of you may say "It was not totaly beneath the tree," but it doesn't have to be under the roots. It neither says that the weapon is a physical weapon.
5.Murtagh somehow turns good and marries Nasuada. They both like each other.
6. Elva has an important role.
7. Saphira and the green dragon mate.
Just To Clear Some Things Up.
1.The next Dragon is Green because CP said so already.
2.The new book does have Glaeder on the cover.
3. CP did not copy Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, many books/movies have similar plots.
4.The title is Brisingr.
5.This is NOT the last book.
Old Predictions
1. Eragon and Roran get Katrina and defeat the Ra 'zak.
2. The Varden get the green egg.
3. Roran hatches the green egg.
4. Eragon completes his training with Oromis.
5. Eragon and Roran get Rider Swords.
6. The two things Solumbum tells Eragon come true.
7. Murtagh MIGHT turn good.
8. Galbatorix is defeated.

I think that things will happen in this order:
1. Eragon + Roran will save Katrina and Roran will marry her.
2.Eragon and Arya will save the last egg and it will hatch for Arya.
3.Arya will confess her love for Eragon.
4.Eragon & Arya go back to Ellesmera to complete/start their training.
5.Galbatorix invades Ellesmera.
6.Eragon finds out that Brom is actually his father from Blagden.
7.Galbatorix is killed and Murtagh turns good again but no one trusts him exept Eragon and Nasuada (Who he eventually marries).
8.Eragon and Arya get married.
9.Saphira + green dragon mate and Saphira lays 3 eggs.
10.The eggs hatch for Eragon and Arya's son/daughter, Roran and Katrina's son/daughter, and for Elva
I think that Saphira will return to Farthen Dur to repair the jewel that was destroyed in saving Eragon at the end of book one
well i think that arya will be the next rider but DOESNT fall in love with eragon. saphira wont died coz that would be stupid and ruin the story.murtage will die, eragon will kill him to save the dragons. orimis will die from his age. angela and solembum will sneek into ellesmera and find the other wearcat, and then they will reveal the secret under the tree to eragon and it will save his life when he is about to kill galbatorix. roran and eragon will kill the razac but one will escape. they save katrina. arya and eragon will leave and find new land, and start a new rider race. the crazy ckick the stops bad things happening will save nusauada and then she will marry the king guy in surda. the end!
I don't think it will be roran who will be the next rider. It has nothing to do with bloodlines it is the dragon who chooses it rider. It will probably be Ayra the next rider.
this is what i think will happen based of what iv read and how the story has proressed so far.
Roran will get the last egg , it just seems that he will then everything becomes a family matter , and no you dont need the blood of another rider to become one you just have to be picked .
Orick will become the new Dwarf king but not after a long drawn out battle(verbal or political not actual fighting) with other families who contest his right , then eregon steps in and helps him , there will be trators in the resistance , mainly the board of people eregon turned against by pledging himself to the new leader.
Murtagh will escape from galbatorix remember he's bond to him for so long as galbatorix keeps him bound there could be a way to break that or even if eregon is about to kill galbatorix and offers in exchange for his life Murtagh everlasting freedom.
as for the person he would bring back from the dead , well he could bring back galbatorix original dragon? i think that would add a bit of a twist having galbatorix come face to face with the thing that drove him mad , although i think Brom is a big favourit for me .
since roran was dedicated a huge part in Eldest that means he is going to be a major character. And if he is the new rider which is a possibility and his green dragon ends up mating with Eragons then the dream the eragon had would make sense. eragon saw 2 dragons flying above as a man (eragon) and a elf (arya) left on a ship and a person (roran) on the beach screaming. if the third dragon is rorans and it mates with sapphira and then leaves with the boat then roran would definetly be on the beach screaming in sorrow of losing both his dragon and his brother
i have some simple revelations to explain. First off, note that Mr. Paolini says their will be quite a few new characters that will be introduced within these next two books, so knowing this author, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. However, this is what I think:
Roran is the descendant of King Palancar because Roran has the leadership and inspiration skills. The family also lived far from the town, so the townsfolk probably won't know much about Roran's ancestors.
I am sure Arya will become the next rider. If you notice Eragon's vision, he and a woman are holding hands while getting onto a boat with two dragons above. The dragons lead me to assume that both the woman is also a rider. Furthermore, there is no other woman in the story that is developed well enough to take on the role of a Rider.
Finally, many of you have forgotten that Eragon has yet to get his blue Rider sword, which I think he will get under that Menoa tree, made from that elf.
The Vault of Souls will be opened in dire need. My belief is that this Vault will be opened when Eragon needs the energy of the souls.
I doubt that Murtagh will live or turn good. It's just too much happiness.

i think that arya and eragon will get together becaus of the dragons. i also think that when eragon leaves he will have to face the parents of the razac.and that arya will get the dragon.
i think that orik will be king of the dwarves and that the dwarves will rule alagaesia.
i think that eragon will team up with arya to kill galbatorix
i think that oromis will kill murtagh while protecting eragon from a fatal spell but that oromis will kill murtagh while protecting galbitorix from a fatal spell
I think that Arya will definitely become the next dragon rider. It only makes sense. And it would also make sense for her and Eragon to fall in love non-tragically because it has never happened! Eragon is a legend, everything that happens to him IS new!
Interesting idea about dragons still living on the spine, although i believe you are mistaken. The elves or SOMEONE would know. It wouldn't make sense for them to still be on the spine! I agree that Eragon will find the name of the ancient language, though I wonder if Galbotrix has no already found it, as he knows how to control much through magic.
I think Mortagh will forfeit his life, though he refused in the second book. It would make it so much more heroic if he did, I'm not sure though. There are so many ways that Brisingr can spin. I can't wait until it comes out on the Twentieth of September 2008 in Calgary!!! Ahh, I'm sooo excited!!!
Saphire WILL NOT DIE! That would be stupid! I could see MAYBE Arya or someone important, but NOT Saphira.
first of all, im 13 and this has been my favorite fantasy adventure, I've read the 1st,2nd book millions of times, and I think in the third book,Murtagh will come to his senses, while Arya will become the next rider, and Galbatorix stuck in a corner with 3 riders against him will eventually die, and the elves will take the throne, for they are much better leaders, if Arya will not become a rider, then Elva definetely will, every clue points at her especially the mark on her forehead

I've already read the thrid book and don't want to spoil anything but the thrid rider does not appear in it. But I do have a prediction about the 4th book. I don't think Roran will be the new rider because he is just a soliger thats his whole thing. Also I don't think Elva will be the new rider because she is already so powerful. I think she will just be a really strong spellcaster.I won't say anything on the Eragon Arya romance thing because I really have no clue. I hope it ends well but it might not.The last thing I have two say is that I think the next rider will be a dwarf. I've heard the arguments but I think it will be one because there is no dwarf rider but I don't think it will be Orik
Ok well Eragon does not kill Galbortrix in the 3rd book there will be a fourth and final book. to answer 1 of the questions I've heard Eragon does get a new wepon and names it Brisingr(Brisingr is also the name of the 3rd book) and the elv-smith who creater all the Rider's swords makes a new sword through controlling Eragon with her mind in order to get around her oath. Also Brom is Eragon's father.Oromis and Gledar do die, but while it is Murtgah and his dragon Thorn that kill them Galbotrix is controlling them during the fight. Gledar gives his heart-of-hearts or his Eldunari to Eragon which allows Eragon and Gledar to comminucate and draw massive ammounts of Gledar even after his death so that Eragon may even the odds against Galbortrix.Eragon has yet to search for the Vault fo Souls yet also. That's all i have to say at the moment so i hope i answered a few questions that hadn't been answered yet see ya after the next book.

i read the third book. but i wanna say something about the 4th. it cant be elva cuz she lost her protecting and went berserk. it cant be roran cuz that would be to obvious. could be arya, and then her dragon and saphira mate, wich makes arya fall in love with eragon. or shruikan will be killed, and the green dragon hatches for galbotorix.i dont think that the dwarves will violate wat they sed to the dragons so that leaves orik out. and i think wat would be weird would maybe be nasouda (or however u spell the varded queens name). one more thought. an urgal. garzvhog. they dont have anything agaisnt the dragons, and they r on the varden rite? so ya an urgal would be a GREAT twist. thanks for reading
1. There will be another dragon rider. Maybe Roran or Ayra.
2. Eragon will get a sword and kill Shruikan
3. Nasuada or Oromis will die protecting eragon
4. Murtagh will lose his dragon
5. Eragon will fulfill solembum's warning and leave alagesia forever after killing galbatorix
you all have good points but brom is eragons father and brom does leave a message for eragon but in saphira memory and saphira was ment for eragon not arya and if she is the new rider then that will be good and roran wiil proply be the new rider too so we don't know and draves are not included in the spell and orik will be yhe new king and if eragon will bring someone back from the dead then it will proply be his father brom.
Alright you people that think that Eragon will somehow someway bring back the dead are really mistaken. That would kill him end of story. And Saphira did not say that if she falls in love with someone Eragon will fall in love with that dragon to or vice versa. They just have to like/not hate eachother. This is what I think happens: they beat Galbatorix, Arya realizes her love for Eragon, Nasuada will become queen, Roran and Katrina settle down, Eragon and Saphira realize that Algeasia doesn't need a dragon rider and leave and Arya goes with them MAYBE because she is the new dragon rider. Just Maybe
roFirst of all, the next Rider cannot be Roran. 1)because he is a human and would take too much time to train 2)because if he became a Rider, he would live for pretty much forever. What happens to Katrina then? He would baulk against that, he would do anything for her(like leading his whole village across his world and doing some pretty amazing things). I think the next Rider will be Arya. Like many of you have already mentioned, her magic is the same color as the last egg. Plus, Paolini is good at leaving just enough hints that it will not be a total shock if Arya is the next Rider but still leave us all slapping our knees and saying we should have known.
Also, when you add in the vision of the man and the woman leaving on a ship with two dragons circling above with the prophecy Angela made to Eragon saying he would leave Alagaesia forever, it only reinforces the viewpoint of Arya being the new Rider. They would leave the land together as the last of the Riders(for I believe both Murtagh and Galbatorix will die, as well as their dragons). The last of the Riders leaving is also supported by the words of Hrothgar, saying that the Age of the Dragon Riders in this land is over.
I believe Brom is Eragon's father. It would make sense and would also fulfill Angela's prophecy as Eragon and Murtagh would be half-brothers. I also think that the seven words Brom spoke to Eragon on his dying breath will plat a vital role. I think Eragon will find a Rider's sword under the Menoa Tree and the Vaught of souls will enable him to become powerful enough to defeat Galbatorix.
The fact that Eragon has to speak his name to open the Vault of Souls is fishy to me. I think it might have something to do with the first Eragon. Perhaps he created the vault?
Elva, I think, has something great in her future. I even briefly contemplated if she would be the next Rider. But either way, her role will be a large one.
Roran will become King of Alagaesia as the blood of King Palancar runs through his veins. Katrina will make a good queen.
Well that's all I have to say! Just the random thoughts of a 16 year old girl so tread softly!
It is obvious that Arya will fall in love with Eragon. I think the new Rider will be Arya and Roran will become king.
I think that galbatorix is going to die in the 4th and the last book, but that eragon uses a spell, and have to leave alagaisia(because angela predicteted it). And I hope that Ayra isn't going to be the new rider. I think it will be Katerina. And the second prediction of Solumbum is that eragon find something in the vault of souls en there he will find the élduri's to destroy Galbatorix.

The green egg MUST hatch to Arya. Eragon and Arya love each other (although Arya won't admit it). In order for the drangon kind to reproduce, Saphira must mate with the green dragon. In the third book, Saphira states that if Eragon like Arya anymore than she would be kissing her herself.

Maybe Eragon and arya will become a couple and arya can be the next dragon rider but so can Nasuada, Roran, and Orrin.
