Fire and Ice
Erin Hunter
Fireheart and Greystripe go looking for the WindClan, who were driven out of their clan by ShodowClan. While training apprentices, Greystripe is rescued by a pretty RiverClan cat. When Greystripe abanonds the warrior code to see her, Fireheart wonder where where his loyalty lies. When ShadowClan and RiverClan team up on WindClan, who calls for aid, Greystripe is tested...
Another great worriors book! I am ready to read the third.
If you might die staying with those who are weak to get them home, would you run ahead, or stay with them?
If your friend broke the worrior code, and was continuing to do so, would you stop him?
Would you kill your own son, even if he was totally evil?

Into the WiId
Into the Wild
Erin Hunter
Rusty, a kittypet, wanders into the forest, wondering what he will find. When he runs into Graypaw, a ThunderClan apprentice, he is asked into the clan to become a warrior. Strange things start happening with the clans. WindClan has dissappeared, and the ShadowClan scent is in the air...
WONDERFUL!!! The warriors series is awesome! It is neat that a kittypet becomes a warrior! Especially before Sandpaw and Dustpaw. AWESOME book.
Would you aboandon a boring but hospitable life to a dangerous but exciting one? Why or why not?
If you could choose your mentor, who would it be?
Would you want to be a clan leader?

Reaching Dustin
Reaching Dustin
Viki Grove
Carly wants to be the class reporter. When she finds out that the interviewing project they are about to start, she thinks it will be no problem, until she finds out she is interviewing Dustin Groat. Dustin is a loner, and always filthy. He is quiet and rude. Part of this is because the rest of the class laughing at him, and some because of his family's reputation. When Carly finds out that his family is cruel to him, and Dustin needs to be helped, Carly does everything to help.
At my school, every spring, we have a litturature conferance where eight authors from Missouri come to our school. To be able to go to the conference, each kid has to read one of the author's books. When I got to Viki Grove, all of the books were about girls. All but one. Reaching Dustin was the only book not about all girls. Even though it looked boring and stupid, this book was by far the best book out of the eight authors. It covered some interesting issues, and was very well written. I would reccomend this book to anyone.
If you had to interview someone you thought was a weirdo, how would you react?
If you heard Dustin's music, would you go talk to him or just listen?
If you thought Dustin needed school, how would you go about getting him back in?

The Westing Game vs. Get a Clue
Get a Clue is a movie based on the Westing game. Although the movie itself is good, It is totally different than the book. In the book, Turtle has braids, which is a big thing in the book, but as you can see on the movie cover, she doesn't in the movie. Also, Sudelle Pulaski and Jake Wexler are a little bit crazy, which isn't true in the book. Only Chris is mentioned in the Theodorakins family, and Mrs. Baumbach isn't in it either. In the movie, Turtle totally is into the stock market. This is not mentioned in the book. Also, Turtle steals the clues from people, they don't compile them together. The movie was a dissapointment, but alone it is a great movie.

Lunch Money
Lunch Money
Andrew Clements
Mark Twain Award Nominee 2007/08
Greg loves money. Every chance he can get, he is saving it up. When he looks into his lunch room, all he sees is tons and tons of quarters. He starts to make comics, but when one day, he has a rival company, things start to get out of hand...
Lunch Money was a great book in many ways. It showed how enemies became friends and buisness partners. There was great determination and persistance. The ending was great.
If you wanted to make money, how would you do it?
Would you sell things at school?
Would you save your money or spend your money?

The Westing Game
The Westing Game
Ellen Raskin
Newberry Award Winner
Sixteen people gathered to hear the reading of Sam Westing's will, none of them thinking that they were really about to play a game, The Westing Game. They were paired up and each given ten thousend dollars and a set of clues. The will suggested that one of them was a murderer, and many of them lived in the same place. Everyone is accusing and ploting, trying to the Westing Game...
This book was clever, an awesome mystery, and I couldn't figure it out. I was surprised that Turtle could. It is a book though, anything could happen.
If you were snowbound with a murderer, thief, and a bomber, how would you react?
Do you think you could beat Mr. Westing in chess?
Did you figure it out before the end of the book?

Strange things are starting to happen in Village. at the trading market, people are trading away their inner self for other things. Mentor used to welcome new people, but now is wanting a wall around Village. Seer, Kira's father has Matt ( Now Matty) to get Kira and bring her to Village before the wall goes up...
This book was awesome but sad. Once again very powerful. I wish Mattty didn't die, even though he did so peacefully.
If you wanted someone to like you, would you trade away you inner self to get rid of your faults?
If you had a special ability that scared you, would you tell someone?
How would you have tried to get through the forest?

Kira's mom is dead, and she is fatherless. Because she is crippled, nobody wants her there. Her only gift, her weaving. The council keeps her to repair and complete the singer's robe. She, a boy named Thomas, and a boy named Matt, discover and find more about a little girl locked in a room downstairs. One day Matt is missing, and is nowhere in the village...
Another powerful book by Lois Lowry. This one was very different that the Giver, but still wonderful.
If you were parentless, crippled, hated by mosst, and had no home, what would you do?
If your friend was gone for and exeptionally long time without telling you, what would you do?
If you supposedly dead father came to you from another village, and you had Kira's job, would you stay of go?

Jonas lives a simple life with no choices, no real feelings, and no knowledge of anywhere else. He knows no color and there are no animals. Until he is chosen to be the new reciever. He and the giver know that they need to give the knoledge to the people, so Jonus must run away...
This book is a very powerful book. It was confusing, but one of the best I have ever read. It deserves the award it got.
Would you like having no choices or big feelings in life?
Could you stand being the reciever?
Would you run away from the village to let the memories free and never come back?

Vampire Plagues: Mexico 1850
Vampire Plagues
Mexico 1850
Sebastain Rook
Emily, Jack, and Ben discover that Edwin is alive! On the rest of the way to Mexico, Edwin tells the three about the Brotherhood of Chac. They are a group against the vampires, and Jack and Ben learn how to fight with them. Emily decyphers the Mayan with one of the people there. When the members of the brotherhood are led to the wrong place by a traitor, the lady Emily works with, It is up to Edwin, Jack, Emily, Ben, and a man named Roberto to defeat Camozotz once and for all!
This book was amazing! The scariest yet! It was a great Finally to the Vampire Plagues trilligy, and just a great book.
If you had known a man to be dead, and killed by vampires, and you saw him, what would you think? Would you think that he was a vampire?
If you knew that the army had gone to the wrong place, would you have gone after them or gone to the right place?
Would you fight vampires with a bow and arrow or a spear?

The Search
Gordon Korman
Meg is being taken where no one would think, so she tries to send a message to aiden, clogging toilets with toilet paper rolls. When nobody believes Aiden that the sign was from Meg, he sets out on his own.
Another great read! It is driving me nuts not being able to get the third though!
If you thought you saw a sign from your kidnapped sister, and had been right last time you thought this, would you set out on your own following the clues?
How would you act if the agent in charge of finding your sister did nothing?
If you were "Mickey" and found out that your acomplices did the crime out of hate? Wold you help her get free?

The Abduction
Gordon Korman
The Falconer family just wants to be normal. After haiving been seen as the worst criminals in the country, and the two greatest fugitives in the country, that isn't very likely to happen. While walking home from school one day, Meg is abducted right in front of Aiden! After trying to stop them, aiden is thrown on the sidewalk and the kidnappers take off. With Agent Harris, Aidenmust find Meg before it is too late...
An awesome follow-up to the On The Run series! This book was advertised in the back of Hunting the Hunter, and I got it from the library as fast as possible. Awesome book!
What is the first thing you would do if your sister was kidnapped?
If you had been kidnapped and were outside for a few seconds, how would you send a message?
Would you trust a person who was after you at one time to help find your sister?

After Proffeser Andesnap gets an invitation to go to Paris to talk with a friend about the ancient Mayan culture, Jack, Emily, and Ben are to be taken too. When a farmiliar illness starts to surge through paris, the three firends know the battle against the Vampire God isn't over yet...
This book was a lot scarrier than London. It was one of my favorite recent reads. the character Dominique was a great addition the the book.
If you had fought the vampire battle with Jack, would you believe what he said happened in the "Holy Place" was true, even if you heard about the illness?
Would Dominique annoy you, or would you be good friends?
What would you do if a ton of vampires were after you?
